An Earthen staff favorite. These botanical candles are otherworldly, we've truly never burned a candle as nice as this.
From our friends at Flamingo Estate:
Scents:
Adriatic Muscatel Sage:
- Inspiration - Sage's botanical name comes from the Latin word "salvere", which means, "to be saved." Sage is our savior, its scent, our origin story. There are over 900 species of Sage worldwide, with 19 of them having their origins in California. Among these native species are Hummingbird Sage, Pitcher Sage, Black Sage, Purple Sage, and White Sage — all currently growing wild at the Estate. The abundance of Sage in the Garden inspired the aroma of this candle. It’s deeply cleansing and camphorous, softened by a hint of sweetness.

Fragrance -
Ancient Agrigento Olive Tree:
- Inspiration - We’re plumbing to the depths of ancient wisdom with our Olive Tree Candle — an homage to old things, made suddenly new, and the power inherent in coming around again. The seasons remind us we’re in a constant state of coming around to ourselves. In that spirit, we light up Ancient Agrigento Olive Tree, and return to a scent that revives the herbal and bright nature of complex ingredients that have stood the test of time.

Fragrance -
Climbing Tuscan Rosemary:
- Inspiration - The “mist of the sea,” Rosemary is the objet d’amour of Romans, Greeks, and Honeybees everywhere. Kindling warm layers of evergreen and camphor, often detected wafting amongst the Cypress Trees and ruins of golden hour strolls. For centuries, this ubiquitous herb has been used as a mental stimulant — said to enhance memory, intelligence, and creative dreaming. Light up.

Fragrance -
Coriandoli:
- Inspiration - Our limited edition candle is named Coriandoli (Italian for “confetti”), because it floats through the air so beautifully. But it also smells like a celebration: White Christmas Lilies (the National Flower of Italy), the sweetness of empty Champagne glasses, cigarette smoke, Santal, and Musk. We wanted to recreate the vibe from a party in Venice we attended, with a room full of handsome Italians and glamorous old ladies who smelled like new hairspray and old money. With a bit of the muskiness of the handsome Italian waiters sweating a little bit after running around all night after the guests. It’s a BEAUTIFUL candle, and my new favorite.

Fragrance - Smells like a good time with White Christmas Lilies, the sweetness of empty Champagne glasses, cigarette smoke, Santal, and Musk.
Douglas Fir & Ancient Vetiver:
- Inspiration - Lighting this Candle conjures the forest wind. As the wax warms and the essential oils begin to travel, forest air fills the room with a crisp, smoky, subtly vegetal aroma that quiets the outside noise and tunes us in. Anchored by Vetiver, Douglas Fir, Angelica Root, and a hint of Basil.

Green Goddess:
- Inspiration -
A fecund celebration of all alive with green, in the form of a hand-crafted Soap Brick and Candle that curl with the aroma of fresh Mint, bright Pea Tendrils, African Rosemary, and moist Basil.

Night Blooming Jasmine & Damask Rose:
- Inspiration - This is the most beautiful fragrance we’ve ever created. Inspired by the intoxicating scent of Jasmine that crawls through the Estate’s window at night, it feels like a hard, sweet slap in the face. Swirling in the back of the nose and instantly picking us up, with warm, citric florals and a pop of spice. Anchored by Ionian Bergamot, Damask Rose, Pink Peppercorn, and White Sandalwood.

Roma Heirloom Tomato:
- Inspiration - Our most beloved scent, the Heirloom Tomato Candle captures the supple, green essence of balmy summer nights in the garden. Think ripe tomatoes hanging heavy from freshly watered vines, their leaves at their most fragrant. The candle releases an intoxicating aroma of herbaceous, peppery earth evoking a wildly nostalgic summer feeling that lingers long after the flame is out.
-
Fragrance - A Summer garden distilled, bringing us back to the herbaceous scents of Flamingo Estate with the fresh, green aroma of its leaves, hand-harvested herbs, and hints of spice. Anchored by wild-harvested Tarragon grown in Oregon, and Black Pepper essential oil grown on flowering vines in the forests of Madagascar.

Care:
When burning your candle for the first time, allow it to burn for 2 to 3 hours, until the top layer of the wax has completely melted. This will prevent the wax from tunneling around the wick. When burning the candle after the first burn, do not let it burn for over 3 hours at a time.
Ideally, we recommend keeping the wick trimmed to 1/4 inch at all times to prevent the candle from emitting smoke or the wick falling into the wax.
After each burn, see that the wick is centered in the wax. This will also ensure that the glass does not overheat. The wick and flame should never be touching the glass. When approaching the end of the candle, leave ¼ inch of wax unburned and ensure you are not burning the candle for more than 3 hours. The glass can get overheated without the presence of wax and break.
